Monstera help!

I’ve always wanted a monstera and found one on Facebook market place for only $35!! Shes an absolute monster and just started sprouting a new leaf πŸ₯Ή I’m really looking for advice on watering and how to make her the happiest she can be!! I don’t really know much about monsteras but I have been researching more!! I’m a wanna be plant mom soooo bad so please any advice is welcome ❀️ #Monstera #helpneeded #NewPlantMoma
Beautiful plant! You want to water once the soil has mostly dried out. Use a moisture meter to check the lower part of the pot where you can’t easily check. The worst thing for them is too much water.
for this since you’re new, i’d recommend watering her when her leaves start to curl! water meters are tricky bc some parts of the soil might be dry while others damp! for her, since she’s so big, i’d recommend shower waters. put her in the tub and letting her drink up for 5-10 minutes πŸͺ΄i love my girls!!!
OMG, @lynnluvsplants, your babies are adorable. The #Monstera has become my absolute favorite since I became a plant mom about 2 years ago. It all started when I purchased some big beautiful plants from someone; but because I was so new at it I killed them all. Since I’ve joined Greg, I’ve purchased several new plants (3 Monsteras), but I just can’t seem to keep them alive. I saw someone else say that they like humidity and so she keeps hers in the bathroom. I purchased a humidifier, but my babies still don’t seem to get enough humidity. I’m going to have to try to figure something out, because I’m ready to purchase another one and try again🀞🏾πŸ₯°πŸ«ΆπŸΎ
@ValleyOfErlease meh, i would argue humidifiers aren’t important for monsteras as much as ppl say. they need more light than humidity!!
