I like your plant grammar, cotyledons is exactly what i'd use if it weren't so chim [sry my singlish acting up. It means a word that's very complex].

Apparently it's a kind of developmental defect. It's not genetic, and fortunately the tomato will still develop normally
@Araceae thank you so much for your help and reassurance! I'm a high-schooler trying to start a garden for the first time, and I really was worried something was wrong with it. Do you think this could affect fruiting/flowering for the plant?
