Hereโ€™s an article that shows a cold damaged monstera. Looks like what you have going on. https://www.ohiotropics.com/2020/02/28/monstera-problems-questions-answers/
Has it been exposed to the cold? Maybe if itโ€™s next to a cold drafty window
@sun Iโ€™m going to to try to figure this out for you. Let me do some research.
@sun here is what I have found out so far. Veiny and chlorotic looking leaves are the first and important sign your plant is letting you know that you are not giving it enough air in the soil and/or too much water.
@RJG any suggestions?
@martin @alex @Kiersten any suggestions?
Too me this looks like it got too cold (could have happened in transit to the store you got it at), or could even be some kind of systemic infection (less likely but possible). Did roots/bottom of plant look healthy when you repotted it? What soil did you use in new pot and have you already watered it? Is it near a cold window now?
@RJG do you have any clue whatโ€™s up with her Monstera?
@AMG not since i bought it! but this may be a possibility.
@Llynnelise they did look healthy! I unbound the roots and used well draining soil in the new pot/ watered it. The pot it came in initially was drenched so i thought it was root rot, but the roots are ok. It shouldnโ€™t be too cold by the window but iโ€™ll keep an eye out on this, thanks!
@KikisOasis I think this might be it! between the root binding, and how wet the soil was, this is probably the culprit. Thanks!
@sun you are very welcome. Happy to help.
Not since you bought it? If it was outside while moving it home that could have done it. Chlorosis usually causes pale, yellow leaves not dark spots.
@AMG hmmm okay, Iโ€™ll have to trim off the browning stalks then. Thanks!
@AMG yep, this is exactly it. Poor guy. Thanks
