Can I gather seeds from this?

I didn’t think the dying bloom on my pickle plant could get that interesting, but here we are. It seems it is producing seeds? I’m guessing it pollinated itself?

Any one know more about this? Can I gather them? The seeds are just at the end of the fluffy bits I’m thinking. Is there a time to take them? Do I put a mesh bag on it and wait for them to fall off? Or just grab them? I was trying to look up some general senico seed info, but it’s pretty vague in all the steps. @vvvelo @RJG @SirLiquorice do you guys know anything about this?

I believe there should be seeds there if you pollinated the flowers. Did you pollinate them ?
@vvvelo I didn’t but there’s some fungus gnats around that could have done it by chance.

I thought it was just dry and fall off..and not turn into this puff ball. Does that normally happen?
@Alinaa Do you have any other flowering succulents next to this one? Because you need pollen from a different flower to be able to get seeds
@vvvelo There’s just the other flower open on a different shoot of the pickle plant. They didn’t quite bloom at the same time but there was some overlap days where there was a few flowers on open on the 2nd while the first was completely open. 🤷‍♀️ I don’t know anything about pollinating and seeds or flower life cycles 😅
@Alinaa I have never tried pollinating, but I saw several videos on YouTube.
Cool! I just bought a Pickle Plant. I had no clue about the blooms. Thanks for sharing! Sorry, I have no idea about seeds.
@PurpleSucculent no worries! Seems a very not discussed topic on the internet. I can find a little bit on info, but nothing with clear steps and pictures. Looks like they may pop off when ready, but doesn’t seem like anyone had much with the seeds in this family of plants.
@vvvelo do you think it is pollinated because it turned fluffy? Or they just turn fluffy when they get old anyways? I found some images they say they are “seed heads”.
@Alinaa tbh I do not know. I have never seen this succulent.
@vvvelo gotcha. I’ve been just trying to look up string of pearls since it has a similar flower, but so little info. Doesn’t seem like anyone had any luck growing anything, but I suppose I can try to pluck some off eventually. Thanks for your advice very much.
@Alinaa you can always try it. I like to experiment. So why not 😊😈😉
I didn’t know this could bloom! Cool.
