How do I save my Hoys

Hello, plant heads. My Hoys curtsii is not happy with me. I know it's due to overwatering. So I'm going to try and propagate. Or not. What's the best thing to do for her? Thanks! #hoyahangout #hoyaheads #plantsmakepeoplehappy #plantaddict #helpneeded
2ft to light, direct
6” pot with drainage
Last watered 1 year ago
Ooh! Tagging some Hoya people for loving advice 🀩🌱✨ best of luck! @Hoyaobsessed @HoyaAddict @UltraKoreanfir @JenniferNoel
Over watering that curtsii big time. Bottom water those only when it is completely dry. Maybe every 2 weeks. Right now I would propagate once it starts yellowing like that it will continue to do so
@Prentyce, thanks. Appreciate the tags.
@HoyaAddict, thank you.
@wolfqueen my pleasure! Best of luck!! I’ve learned a lott of sad lessons bahahah. Greg has been a game changer! TYSM @Hoyaobsessed 🀩😭
@Prentyce, no problem. I put the rooted parts I salvaged in a smaller pot and the cuttings in water. Hoping they'll recover.
@wolfqueen she looks so perfect!!! Omg!! You have triple the plant now too!🀩🌱 congratulations! I’m so happy for you! Eeek :)
@wolfqueen the good news is this guy is RESILIENT. Mine has been through the wringer and keeps chugging along. I bet once you repot and give it time it will rebound. The cuttings might do better, faster, in a prop box or tented bag with moist perlite, but the water works too.
I almost always propagate my Hoyas directly into dirt . Rooting hormone is great too to give it a boost. The only thing I prop in water are my philodendrons the vining ones. Other than that I use dirt. In my opinion and I’m sure others have different ones lol … if you prop in water then transfer to dirt it’s really hard on the plant and it pouts for a period of time.
Thanks, everyone!
