What are the ingredients of the craft house soil mix? A well-draining, chunky soil mix is best for these guys. They don't like to completely dry out, but can also develop root rot if the soil stays soggy too long. Any soil mix with plenty of added perlite and orchid bark or coco chips to create air pockets, plus some added organic material like worm castings (they like a rich soil). As long as the mix you bought has these, you should be ok. If not, you can always add them in. I like to do approx 3 parts soil, 1 part each perlite and orchid bark/coco chips, and a few handfuls of earthworm castings π
@stephonicle hope this helpsβ€οΈ I do plan on as of May of this year to start making my own mixtures of my own soil as I see most of the plants that I purchased are in compact soil and very dense most of my plants do well in it, but of course over the years, you have to repot the plant, but itβs OK just another day in a plant momβs life.β€οΈ
