Rehabbed Pearls and Jade Pothos

I got this pothos for free. I figure my best bet is to chop parts off to prop in perlite or water and let the bottom part grow in soil because it’s rooted, but I’m not sure where to cut! Advice? #rehabplants #PothosPack #Pothos #PropagationStation #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #PlantAddict #GregGang #PearlsAndJadePothos

Uh oh that won't work unless you kill off the spider mites. I see their webs. They won't just go away. I can guarantee there are eggs on there.

I took a snapshot of your plant and marked up the webs.

Pretty sure she lost all her leaves because of the mites. 😒

You can still chop and prop but you must treat the prop too. I'll mark up where to cut her. You can treat a cutting with neem oil, I have and it doesn't hurt them at all.

Photo 2 is where you can cut.
You can take more than one cutting just make sure to keep the node of the cutting under the water. Since that is where new roots will grow from.

Treatment for spider mites

1 tablespoon pure neem oil
Mixed with 32 ounces or 4 cups water in a spray bottle.

Mist all that is left, the leaf top and bottom and the stem.

Repeat every 3 days for 3 weeks. DO NOT skip a treatment or you will have to start from scratch

You can also add 1/2 teaspoon Castile soap to the neem/ water mix if you want. It does help it mix better, it keeps the oil from seperating from the water.
Eek! I’ve never had spider mites! It’s weird because I inspected it all over and used a flashlight to shine through the leaves and I didn’t see anything. I saw what you circled though. It makes me wonder if it’s just fuzz from my car floor. But I’ll treat it anyway because better to be safe than sorry.
