My Hoya compacta has wrinkly leaves

I don’t know what to do the plant has to main stems one stem is smaller but has firmer leaves while the other stem has wrinkly and squishy leaves. I don’t know what to do anymore.I tried watering it and that didn’t do anything. It’s right next the window to so it gets adequate light. Please help. Does anyone know what’s wrong? #HoyaHangout #Hoya

Idk anything bout hoya plants but I think it's squishy and wrinkled cause of the overwatering. I could be wrong tho
@Minthe that could it eat but what’s weird is one stem has wrinkly squishy leaves and the other has solid and firm leaves
Maybe it's root rot ...? And it hit the one stem first?
@Minthe oh maybe I’ll have to check
Waiting for an update, hope ur bebe gets well soon !!! 🌱
That one shriveled up stem has root rot …. For sure . No way to save that guy. The other stem looks good. These can be a hard Hoya to grow. A good drink every 12 to 14 days is good for these ropes .
@Plants_Galore I would check your soil. I see LECA on top of it, and I personally wouldn’t put it in any of my Hoyas. LECA holds its weight in water, which Hoyas are epiphytes, they absorb most of their moisture through their leaves and their roots cannot absorb what is needed for the plant. Heavy wet soil suffucates them. So make sure it has high enough levels of humidity. Im speaking from a place of being in Utah where the humidity is around 15% and everywhere I read said humidity was something Hoyas adapt to. Nope. Not true. They need humidity. And light, airy soil. I personally do about 1 part coco coir, 1 part charcoal and 10 parts coco chips and 10 parts perlite. Their roots are fine and tensile and don’t burrow through heavy dense soil. But they will gladly wrap through coco chips.
This happened to me when mine had mealy bugs hiding in the leaves
