@Kwanna I use Miracle Gro that help keep from under watering and over watering. That will work great with the perlite and coir brick you have.
Fox Farms Happy Frog is my favorite
@Kwanna I second the fox farm soil line, I have one plant in fox farm when I got it from my local plant shop and others in miracle gro when I repotted it, the fox farm one GREW and also has less fungus gnats!
Foxfarm is the best in my opinion. I use ocean forest.
I like Bonsai Jack for succulents.
I've been trying out Good Dirt, so far so good
I really enjoy this brand, G&B Organics 🥰 they have almost every single substrate available in like a 1.5 cubic feet bag, perfect for mixing blends.
Haha!!! @PlantMompy agreed....I go for good old dirt most times....but I love coast of Maine potting soil when I have it on hand.
Good Dirt is actually the brand 😂 BUT I do reuse old potting soil if the plant was healthy. I use Coast of Maine exclusively in my outdoor pots and raised beds!!
Thanks!
You have the beginnings of a nice custom mix if you want to go that route. My soil is a combination of coco coir, bark, perlite, worm castings, and then I'll add in charcoal or pumice or other amendments based on how much drainage I want it to have or nor have.
Whats your potting soil for? I find customising based on your plant type is the best. Some plants appreciate airy chunky mix. So those I mixed in large sized pumice, som perlite, bark and charcoal.
