Baby wipes?

I read an article about cleaning plant leaves with unscented baby wipes. Has anyone tried this and is it a good idea? πŸ€”
Edit: here's the article I read https://www.backyardboss.net/clean-leaves-with-baby-wipes/ #happyplants #plantsmakepeoplehappy #greggang #plantaddict #plantmafia #greggers

I don't know. πŸ€” There are usually other chemicals in baby wipes that might not be good for your plant's leaves.

HOWEVER! As someone who cloth-diapered babies, I have a LOT of cloth wipes around. I could put them in the baby wipe tub, add a bit of soap, water, and a few drops of lemon juice and BAM! Leaf wipes. (:

Plus, you would reuse the wipes, they are easier to wash, and you know what's in them.

Well I have 3 kids and a house full of baby wipes. I’m willing to test it out. πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™€οΈπŸ€£
Give it a try and let us know!
@Sassylimey I haven’t tried it but looking forward to see who has.
This is what I used- they last for years!

I kept them in a box like this and the box kept the wipes moist without drying out.

I would just stick with water. I just use a damp microfiber cloth and it works wonders
@Sassylimey I use unscented baby wipes to clean oil paint off my skin when painting… I’m not sure it would be good for plant leaves if it can wipe oil paint completely away! πŸ˜΅β€πŸ’«πŸ˜©πŸ˜–
i mean i tried it once bc i saw a bug and panicked and wet wipes was the closest thing there, and while it didn’t harm the plant i think sustained use might hurt the plant in the long run bc of the chemicals as sarah said! i personally use a clean paintbrush and diluted isopropyl to clean my plants maybe twice a month and it works well :) works as both pest prevention and gets the dust and stuff off my plant babies
I don’t know, I wouldn’t. Sometimes I’m bored when waiting in the car and will clean the dashboard with baby wipes and while they do the job, they leave lint/tiny fibers which annoy me. I’m assuming it would be the same for the leaves. I just use microfiber cloths and neem oil spray or just water.
@sarahsalith that’s a great idea!
@FirstCanna 🀣🀣🀣 Good point!
I did try it and it still leaves like a fuzz and what looked like a light coating of something or whatever on top but when I rinsed it out and it just had water it didn't do itn
That's probably because it's a nice soft cloth after rinsing @KrunchyWrap
I love this spray for cleaning leaves. It’s healthy for them and me, keeps them shiny, and supports small business! https://www.etsy.com/listing/1019959835/
