Cut ?

I just got this pretty girl a couple days ago. Her one leaf is in very bad shape so I was going to cut it at the base. There’s already a new leaf coming in off the same stem. Should I not cut at all ? Should I cut further up above the new leaf ? Is cutting old, damaged leaves even correct ? I’m newer to plants and have had mostly cacti so I’m definitely still learning😓 #HappyPlants #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #PlantAddict #PlantTherapy #NewPlantMom
2ft to light, indirect
6” pot with drainage

Hi Izabella, I would wait on cutting the damaged leaf until the new one grows out. Congrats on your new plant! 🙂
@Jurassicbellz I agree with @DeluxePeony45 . I was taught to wait til the baby get some stability and then cut off the bad. You don’t want to damage the newbie. 👋🏽
@DeluxePeony45 hi I grew up in California, live in Texas now every time I go to Stockton we drive to the valley passing Fresno lol 😂 very impressive oasis 👍🏽
Hi Sherri, I’ve been here all my life, unfortunately, lol. I just recently started keeping plants (thanks to my daughter) She bought me an orchid for Mother’s Day a while ago and I killed it 🫤. Since then I bought another one and determined to keep it alive . . . Hence my plant journey lol. If you’re ever driving through Fresno let me know! Would love to meet you!c
Hi, my name is Johnson Tetteh, and I’m from Ghana 🇬🇭. I’m 24 years old and new here on Greg. It’s a pleasure to be here, and I’m truly hoping to meet kind and genuine people.
I would be really happy if we could become friends, stay in touch, and get to know each other better over time. I enjoy learning about different cultures, sharing experiences, and hearing meaningful life stories. I believe every connection has something special to offer, and I would love for us to share that together.
Looking forward to getting to know you 😊❤️
