One of my babies decided to rot completly and just die.

Well, woke up, looked at my babies and saw that Sigmund was about to collapse from rot. I mean... this plant. Everything is fine, then one day he thinks: well, it's a nice day to die. Bye. ☠ πŸ˜‚
I was able to grab two babies from Sigmund, put some cinnamon on roots and I'm going to let it callus. Do you think they have a chance? πŸ₯Ί #happyplants #plantsmakepeoplehappy #byebye #plantaddict #propagationstation #plantgraveyard #greggang #mammillaria

I agree, the babies should do well. They look nice and green, and if they aren't squishy they shouldn't have inherited dad's rot
The little bastard! 🀬😭
Sorry. πŸ₯²πŸ₯² The babies certainly have a chance.
The weirdest thing… my sons cactus completely rotten and before that it was nice a cool for like 2 years then it had a ton of babies then it collapsed and the babies just thrive as we speak. I think you have a chance.
The babies absolutely have a shot
The audacity of these little squishy green things 😀 just dying on us after so much tender love and care 😭 they look very firm and green, so hopefully Sigmund was able to leave some good behind πŸ₯²
They’re adorable and healthy! I agree that they should grow just fine. ❀️
I think they will!!
Cacti are weird, I had two in the same pot, one got root rot, I tried to save it but it bit the dust on me. πŸ˜₯ The other one is thriving 😲
Beautifull pots - the cow most :))
Yeah they’ll survive. If you can give them stronger direct sunlight it will also help and it will keep them more dense and compact and help the soil dry faster
@ElderWasabi that’s the problem. Your giving them tender love and care. They evolved to grow in trash and garbage soil with no water basically. They evolved to grow where other plants and animals can’t even survive. They survive on neglect and are independent like BeyoncΓ©. πŸ˜‚ Make sure you try a soilless cactus mix like rabbit hill farms makes. That helps a lot. The pups will survive just fine with the proper amount of water and neglect given. Also more heat and direct sunlight and more wind circulation will help. Yours looks a lot like mine. I need to also try to give mine more sunlight than it’s getting to keep it denser. I am learning new stuff every day. But looks like youre still doing a great job. Those pups look healthy and so did the previous pic. I had one type of mam rot on me twice in a row and the second time it took a long time to rot. I could mention the word water around it and it would rot. And it even got sunburnt really bad so also watch that. They can be very tricky to give the proper amount of care and neglect at the same time
@tmbryant37 yeah they don’t have any signs of rot that I can see at all
