I found worms πŸ› at the bottom of the plant pot. My plan...

@Nikkia Do you know what kind of worm it is? Worms found at the bottom of a plant pot often indicate moist, organic-rich soil, or potential overwatering. Usually, these are harmless pot worms (white) or earthworms (red/brown), which are generally beneficial, although a large population may signal that the soil is too wet and needs to dry out. Do you have a picture of the worm?
When I first got into plants I found the white worms in the bottom of my cache pot and freaked out. Sprayed the whole thing down and repotted it to later read that they are pot worms, harmless and I just needed to water less. So from that point on I take a photo and do research before I react. Take a photo using google lens or upload to here. There’s plenty of helpful people who will let you know what you need to do.
@Ms.Persnickety I'm new to the app and I didn't have in my notification πŸ”” I'm just seeing this. They are white. I appreciate you responding. Small white worms outeaching out
@TRose will do. I panicked and moved it to the porch. It's covered. I will take a picture and upload it. Thank you
@Nikkia Fungus Gnat Larvae: Tiny (about \(1/4\) inch), white with black heads. They hatch in 3 days, feed on roots/fungi, and turn into annoying, flying gnats.Pot Worms: Tiny, white, segmented, looking like miniature, transparent earthworms. They indicate rich, damp soil.Other Possibilities: Larvae could be white grubs or, if they are jumping, they might be springtails.Β How to Treat and Prevent Them:Β Dry Out the Soil: Allow the top 1-2 inches of soil to dry completely between waterings.Use Yellow Sticky Traps: Place these on the soil surface to catch adult gnats, breaking the breeding cycle.Hydrogen Peroxide Solution: Mix 1 part 3% hydrogen peroxide with 4 parts water and drench the soil to kill larvae.Repot: If infestation is severe, replace the soil and clean the roots.Bottom Watering: Avoid overwatering and do not let the pot sit in standing water.
