Cacti are very water sensitive, make sure to wait a while between watering and keep it in bright sunlight! Usually the store keeps it in soil that holds a lot of water so they don’t have to water it at all so I would recommend changing the soil as soon as your plant is settled to avoid overwatering. You can get special “cactus soil” that drains well :) don’t water for a while (probably at least a week) after repotting as it can stress out the plant.
