Golden Leather Fern

Hey everyone! My golden leather fern took a weird turn within the past couple of days. I recently went out of town for a week and she looked fine before I left. My Mother sent me a picture of her last night and she looks very shriveled up. I’m wondering if this could be due to insufficient watering? I was watering based on Greg’s recommendations, but I am aware that this is just a guide. She got a tiny bit of sun outside today and she looks a little better after being watered yesterday, but a majority of her fronds are still shriveled. Any input and advice is appreciated! Thank you so much in advance!

This is totally unrelated but I am new. How can i see who is following me?
@gracekelly
I would assume it was under watering. It could take some time for the plant to soak up all of their water you gave it. It may take 24 to 48 hours for it to perk back up.
Did you have someone look after your plant while you were away? If you did maybe it was overwatered? This last answer is just a guess.
To me, it looks like it was from under watering.
Good Luck!

To answer your question… if someone follows you.. it will show up in your Greg notification section (alarm bell icon) on the top right corner of the home page of Greg.
@L06flower thank u!
@Gordo I look at that and it’s a list of people I have friended not who has friended me
@Autumn-jade
Here is a screen shot of what it looks like. You can also follow them back if you’d like.
@L06flower thanks. I feel like such an amateur οΏΌ
Question: is the blue check mean that person is online?🧐
@Autumn-jade
It took me a while to figure some items out on Greg when I first downloaded the app as well.
@Autumn-jade
I think the blue check mark means you are top contributor on the Greg app.
This was on the Greg website….
Hmm πŸ€”
Being as young as it is the best you could do is water more frequently and less amount. The roots are just getting established and the same goes for propagating. When you first introduce the plant to soil it has to work harder to keep the roots growing. I hope that helps.πŸ™‚
@L06flower Thank you for the advice! I had my mom look after her and gave her a watering schedule. She seems to be perking up a bit now, so hopefully thinks will be looking up. I appreciate your help :)
@VipDragonarum Thank you, that’s so helpful! I will definitely keep this in mind :)
Also your pot may be on the large side for such a small plant. Since the plant is trying to recover from whatever happened I wouldn’t repot now but keep in mind for future. In a too large pot the soil dries slowly making it more susceptible to root rot. Usually about an inch or so larger than the root mass is good.
