As I recall with leaf miners, they are common and overall don’t hurt plants or cause diseases; they just look bad. But yes, removing the leaves affected is all you need to do.

I don’t think they’re due to overwatering. They just occur naturally outside. Your leaf was available at the right time the miners were considering it for a meal!
