I'm wondering if it's time to re-pot. Air roots are fine because they help the plant gather water from the air, but that many of them has me thinking the plant might not be able to get enough moisture or nutrients from the substrate. It could be very root bound and looking to spread out. When was the last time you gave it a new pot & soil?
Wow!! I would definitely repot that baby! She looks ready to move. What a fun but difficult project you’ve got on your hands.
@UltraKoreanfir yeah it’s been a minute since I’ve repotted him!! Gosh, that makes sense that he needs to be repotted. It’s a toooonnn of air roots!! I’m used to a few with my monstera, but not this! Looks like I’ve got a project on my hands. Thanks so much!!
@Azplantchic so good to know!! Totally makes sense now that it’s been told to me lol. Got a fun weekend project on my hands for sure. Also got some pothos I need to group together and repot as well as a couple others, so might as well get it all done. Thanks so much!! 😊
Whoooaaaa I’ve never seen that! I have a dragon fruit that I keep away from window so it won’t grow too crazy but those aerial roots are wild! Definitely repot and change soil as it’s looking for food/moisture. I do know the more light u give them the more they grow, at a dangerous rate. Could be a combination of tons of light + root bound = crazy growth? Don’t know πŸ€·πŸΌβ€β™€οΈ This one is mine, it gets light but not direct (sorry my photo is at night). Mine is about 3 years old.
