She looks fantastic and happy to me! I have one in a 4 inch pot. I water about every 7-10 days and fertilize at quarter strength. It sits in my south facing sunniest window and thrives.
@Amghou thank you so much! My apartment only has windows on the west side so hopefully the grow light will help her too! I just don’t want her to die lol
@Redwhiteblonde oh yeah, West should be great for her! Just don’t water too frequently as she is a succulent like plant
@Redwhiteblonde a west facing window is ideal for succulents, but it might be a bit too intense for string of pearls. I'd recommend a terracotta potβ€”they're porous, which helps the soil dry out faster. When you repot, make sure the new pot is either the same size or no more than 1-2" larger than its current pot to avoid overwatering and root rot. Use cactus/succulent soil mixed with either perlite or pumice rock (2 parts soil, 1 part perlite or pumice). Only water when the soil has completely dried out. Overwatering is the number one way people kill their string of pearls, so when it doubt it's always better to underwater. An underwatered plant is an easy fix, but an overwatered plant...not so much. String of pearls are easy to propagate by laying a piece on top of soil. Water propping doesn't really work with this type of plant and they're more likely to rot. You can help the cutting get rooted faster by using Bobby pins or coated 20 gauge wire bent into a "U" shape to pin down the nodes to the soil.
