I hate to tell you this, but your tree needs to be outside. You will never be able to give it what it needs to thrive indoors.

Unfortunately, you will have an endless struggle indoors. It needs to experience the seasons to be healthy. Otherwise she will die.

I am sorry, there is no way around this one. I know if you google it some will say you can. But most trees will not tolerate it. Some trees can thrive indoors, I have most that can. Because I also love trees. I just don't want you to lose your sapling because it will be a beautiful tree.

Plus they love sun and a north facing window will NEVER be enough.
@SuperbRaspfern can’t i just open my window when it gets cold for them?
Even the window open will not provide enough cold for it to enter dormancy. Without the very cold extended period of at least four week it cannot go through the physiological changes necessary for spring growth.

Unfortunately, this is impossible indoors. They must be in temperatures around freezing.
If there was a way to do this indoors I would share it. For now even inside the refrigerator would work for dormancy. But as it grows it is impossible to replicate inside a home environment.

But even if you could get it into dormancy it needs to remain dormant for 1-3 months and beyond that they have very high light needs which will also be nearly impossible without the assistance of high powered grow light. But most grow lights will not provide enough light for it to grow adequately and thrive.
Get it outside. I water mine once a week and fertilize it it twice a year.
