legginess on a powderpuff cactus

this cactus has been long since the day i got and i believe ive had it for about 2yrs now. as you can see in the pictures it’s leaning over to the other pot and has a baby plant coming off the side. the last picture was when it was flowering back in May and you can see it was standing up straight. im not really sure what im supposed to do with her and if i should cut that top part off so it’s not as tall? #HappyPlants #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #PlantAddict #PlantTherapy #PlantCorner #
You might need to think about repotting her into a bigger pot and straightening her out. It would help if you also tried to increase her sun exposure since cacti only start to get leggy and lean when they don't get enough sunlight
I tend to let my cactus grow how they grow and just leave them be as long as they are not showing signs of being sick 🤷‍♀️
Sup! Look, I think the people in this comment section have nailed it completely. However, I am OBSESSED with propagation. So, you see that small, spiky ball on the side of your cactus? Take that off with gloves on or get a knife/scissors and chopping it off. Get the green bit and wait for it to to callous, which will depend on the size of it to how long that will take. You know it’ll be fully done when the bit where it used to be attached goes brown. Then, leave it on the surface of a small pot that is drenched with a solution of growth hormone and water to convince it to grow roots. Then, hopefully, you can have a new-non-leggy cactus! Good luck, and I hope this gave you a new plant idea🌵🤞🌵
