Bunny ears growing!

The cute little bunny ear that was stuck in with my fairy castle cactus is starting to grow! The roots are still barely there but I’ve got baby hunny ears on top of each. Do I just let them be? Or will I have to separate them at some point from the original leaf? #CactusClique #BunnyEarsCactus #SucculentSquad #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #HappyPlants #PlantAddict #NewGrowth #PropagationStation

In the past I've left mine, and then when it got bigger, the pup grew it's own pup. I'd only take it off, when it's larger if I wanted to propagate.
You can let them be until they get bigger
Is it me or do the maid parts look shribbled up? Or rotten?
@AshleysEvrgreen they aren’t rotted. They are shriveled some but I assume it’s because the larger parts are attemtping to grow roots. I haven’t had cacti before. I have a fairy castle and a few others I’ve acquired over the last few months and these bunny ears were actually in the pot with the fairy castle so this isn’t the first attempt at propagating. Im not sure what to expect. Will the larger pieces slowly shrivel up like a succulent and then you pop the babies off? And then they grow into a new plant? Or do the larger pieces keep on growing? Im just watching to see what happens.
