Rescue!

I found this pink syngonium at the supermarket, which was wild because nearly every box store around here tends to have nothing of any interest. This was the last one and he looks so awful I just had to try and rescue him 😭 they gave me 50% off too! He’s obviously very dry so I gave him a good drink after getting him inside and he perked up a bit (second photo). I have him temporarily put him in a large glass cookie jar I was using for another project just in case he has pests I don’t know about. I gave the jar a light misting and I’m hoping the humidity will help with recovery (and the jar will keep any bugs in!) if anyone has advice on what to do now I would appreciate it. I’ve never owned a syngonium before πŸ˜… #HappyPlants #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #PlantAddict #PlantTherapy #NewPlantMom #PlantCorner #PlantShelfie #PinkSyngonium #HappyPlants #help #RescuePlants #sickplants #PlantGraveyard

@Uzi I’d snip off any clearly dead leaves, but other than that it sounds like you’re on it πŸ‘πŸ» It already looks so much better, and I love the cookie jar quarantine idea! πŸͺ
@debbiedo yeah I was thinking I needed to snip off the dead leaves, but I wasnt sure how to go about it as a lot of the dead leaves have living and healthy stems.. now that it’s had a day in the quarantine humidity jar I’ll probably be able to single out the fully dehydrated leaves and stems πŸͺ΄βœ‚️ let me know if you know a way to trim dead leaves and also keep from damaging the healthy stems πŸ‘€ I’m very new to syngoniums but I have a couple other pink plants so I know they tend to be very dramatic πŸ˜‚
