Is this really a peanut cactus?

I've had this guy for over a year but I'm not certain its a peanut cactus but that's all greg says it is.
Does anyone have any better ideas? #plantsmakepeoplehappy #happyplants #succulentlove #cactusclique #peanutcactus #whatisthis #identify

it does look like a peanut cactus but it’s not thick enough so I’d say it’s a snake cactus. But I’m definitely not an expert so it could still very well be a peanut cactus. Just look up some pictures to compare the two :)
I got to admit it is a cool cactus
@I_AM_HOUSEPLANT
Thank you! I love it so much!
@RenownedRedtree
Thanks! Maybe I just need more light on it!
the top options on iNaturalist are Aporocactus flagelliformis, Cleistocactus winteri, and Lobivia silvestrii
it says it's pretty sure it's part of the genus Aporocactus though
I've had really good luck with iNaturalist and I think it's the most accurate AI for identifying creatures I've found to date, so I recommend it
@SesameSeeds777
Thank you! It definitely looks like it could be right. I'll look into iNaturalist for sure!
It’s neat looking that’s for sure πŸ€—
Looks like a rat tail cactus
@IndigoLily yeah, aporocactus flagrlliformis is rat tail cactus. I agree.
I’m going to say rat tail as well. My pictures. Peanut, rat tail, fox tail (I think) and Medusa.
Wow If it isn’t Medusa πŸ‘ She’s gorgeous but lthinking organ pipe ora Lady fingers . It’s beautiful whatever it is .
Looking again, I think I’m wrong πŸ˜‘ what does Greg say about this
I’ve done my research and that is definitively a good looking cactus!
@Lithopslover πŸ˜‚ thank you!
