There are several reasons your plant-babyβs leaves are drooping and turning yellow.
π§Overwatering: Only water your Calla Lily when the top inch (or 25.4 mm) of the soil feels completely dry on your index finger (on the first knuckle).
π¦Under watering: Water your plant deeply, by allowing water to drip out of the drainage hole. This is the only way to guarantee its roots will get hydrated and your plant is getting enough water. Donβt let your plant sit in water that dripped out of the drainage hole, because it will get overwatered.
βοΈIs it getting enough light? Calla Lily requres bright and indirect light to thrive. If it doesnβt get enough light its soil will stay wet too long and it gets overwatered.
β«οΈFinally, check for pest and disease. The dark brown spots encircled with yellow is a sign of bacterial leaf spot disease. This means itβs been overwatered and its roots are rotting.
(1) Quarantine (because it maybe contagious to your other plants)
(2) remove or trim off the damage on the leaves using sterilized scissors
(3) Repot plant in fresh dry draining potting soil.
(4) remove any dark mushy roots with sterilized cutting tools.
(5) Spray the leaves with Neem Oil.
π With some TLC, you can nurse your plant back to health.
