Maybe its just air quality you'll probably be alright!
i wonder if it’s pot is a little too big for its roots… also, is the ac running? i know some of my plants do not like being by AC or heat.
@RubyRad8 my first thought is.... yes, you should be worried. Personally, I don't think it's getting enough sunlight. Try opening that curtain or find it another home if that's not an option and I'll bet it dries out quicker. But don't water it again until it does!
Have you recently repoted the monstera? I had the same thing happen when I repotted the monstera. No it dries out faster that the new roots have established.
@AroidAdventurer I haven’t repotted it yet- it’s still in the growers pot that I initially received it in! I got it as a gift for my birthday a few weeks ago, and wanted to let it settle prior to repotting. Thanks for your insight!
@Lifeis2short thanks so much! I was a little worried that it wasn’t getting enough sunlight. I will open the curtain a bit more and see if this helps! I almost watered it the other day but figured I should just wait it out a few more days until it’s dry
What a great birthday gift! And I'm so glad you're letting your plant acclimate before repotting. If at all possible, I leaf my plants alone until they MUST be repotted. (:

If the plant is still in the nursery pot, it's probably in the right soil. If it's still moist after 15 days, wait some more. Just hit "snooze" and Greg will remind you to check again in 3 days.

I would NOT be worried about the soil still being wet- there are many factors in play. Make sure there isn't a plastic dish under the pot holding water.

Over time, you'll learn your plant's watering rhythm and you'll get the hang of it.

I have some plants that I don't water for three or four weeks - it depends on so many different factors. 😁

I'm glad you found Greg!!
@sarahsalith thanks so much for your insight! Super helpful. Happy planting! πŸŒΏπŸŒ΅πŸ’š
Some of my plants (even under grow lights) tend to have damp soil for more than a week. Because of the air quality, i just leave it alone until it dries out. So far i have happy plants. I have a plant that i brought home 3wks ago, watered once, cuz its soil stays moist. I also have humidifier on for 4-5 hrs every day. But it seems happy.
