What’s this rusty colored stuff?

Hey #GregGang ! Got me some #Hosta buddies to throw in my planter outside. Got them from Walmart so I consider them a #plantrescue lol. Anyway this one has some strange rust color speckled on its leaves. Never seen this before, what is it? Is it bad? Lol

neem oil spray right away
Looks like it could be spider mites. I would remove that leaf and check the others. If you see webbing and/or tiny black dots that seem like dust, treat for spider mites. Give the hosta a good rinse with water, both above and below the leaves, then spray with insecticidal soap, neem oil, or anything else for treating for pests. Another thing. Hostas like shade to partial sun. Maybe there's some burn?
@wolfqueen okay! I’ll give it a closer look when I get home! It was definitely sitting in the middle of the nursery section, getting full all day sun with a bunch of other burning plants lol. They have no idea what they’re doing at that place lol I felt bad for all the poor plants.

Hi! Could you please tell me where and/or how to buy neem oil and what kind of a sprayer to use? I used to go to India many times, traveling around that magical country. We were often told to eat leaves from the Neem tree at the first hint of any sickness. Extremely bitter πŸ˜¬πŸ˜›πŸ˜– but, it always nipped the symptoms right in the bud!
@Stephazar, definitely. If they are in all day sun, they are not happy. Mine may get a little as the sun sets, but they're in shade most of the day. I'm going to have to divide mine soon. They are obviously happy where they are.
@CutePolypremum I personally just bought a pure cold-pressed neem oil from Amazon I think, put some drops with water and castille soap I think? In a regular spray bottle. There’s some great recipes out there, and I’m sure folks here have a great recipe to share!
@Stephazar. Hi! Thanks for your reply! Good old Amazon. πŸ‘πŸŒ»πŸŒ„
