Cleaning Leaves

How do I go about with cleaning these spots off of the leaves? Iโ€™ve already tried soapy water and a paper towel and it didnโ€™t work.

Thanks! #HappyPlants #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #PlantAddict #NewPlants

@robbi_rose are those hard water spots or remnants of a spray you might have used? Or did you get it like that?

If itโ€™s hard water spots, I have heard lemon juice can help. 1 part lemon juice to 1 part distilled water. Gently wipe the leaves with this and then rinse it off with plain water (distilled/rainwater if you only have hard water).

However, I do not have hard water and havenโ€™t been able to test this myself. So please test it on one small leaf first and wait a day or two to see how your ZZ reacts! Donโ€™t use it on any fuzzy leafed plants.
Iโ€™ve used the lemon juice trick that @DreamMachine suggested and it works amazingly well! I had a raven zz that looked so spotty- this is her after!
@MamaLinne oh great! Thatโ€™s good to hear. Did you use a 1:1 solution with water?
I got these gloves and wipes on Amazon- I have a bad time around sprays of any kind due to my cancer- but these worked so well, even just the gloves- theyโ€™re so soft.
@DreamMachine yes, roughly!
@DreamMachine I purchased it with them!
@DreamMachine thank you!
@MamaLinne omg yay!! Thank you!!
@SillyPlantGirl oh cool!!! And they work well for you?
another thing you can try is 70% rubbing alcohol put it on a paper towel and lightly wipe the leaves and let them dry, make sure you keep them away from light while doing this and until the leaves are dry as the light on the alcohol can damage the plant
