Is Miracle Gro leaf shine actually good/safe for plants?

A lot of my plants have a lot of dried stuff on their leaves, especially my parlor palm. Was wondering if Miracle Gro leaf shine spray isn't bad for plants? Just wondering if it's just coating the leaves in chemicals to make it look shiny.
Has anyone here used it? Would you recommend it? #miraclegro #happyplants #newplantmom #plantsmakepeoplehappy #plantaddict
I agree with @JCPlantProper

I say go with your gut. I've heard this isn't a good option and cleaning your leaves is better.
I’ve used it for a couple of years and have not had issues. I just take a damp cloth and spray a little and then wipe gently. No issues yet.

I do also clean leaves with a homemade concoction of dish soap, isopropyl and water too. Works just as well.
I use it, but I also clean my leaves before using it.
I give my plants a shower, allow them to air dry and then polish with this. I use it sparingly for photos. I’ve never had an issue with this product but I also never place them under a bright light until four hours after I’ve finished with all plants.
@dreamlettuce same! I’m using the rest of my leaf shine, when I run out I’ll make my own. πŸŒ±β˜€οΈβ€οΈ
@AnthuriumQueen Ooh that’s a good point, to help prevent potential burn.
I use the leaf shine on all of my plants with big leaves. No problems yet, and it seems to work
