Yes, unfortunately you do. We regularly create #thewateringhole posts and there are a ton of people who like to be notified. I keep a list in the notes app of my phone to make it easier! Then I can just copy/paste. Kind of like this:
I cut and paste from latest watering hole post, especially @DreamMachine or @RefinedSandwort because they always seem to remember who wants in on tags 🏷️ 🤪
