Dots and leaf damage Monstera

I know have thrips, but is this damage from something else? Like a fungus? I have started treating the thrips but am unsure if there is anything else. Some of the leaves got burnt during a heatwave, but I think there is other damage. Dots are even on brand new leaves. #Monstera

Definitely from thrips, they prefer newer growth anyway
@PotentRedhill41 yes, that looks like thrips to me. The black dots are their ๐Ÿ’ฉ๐Ÿคฎ And like @jakkthecat Moon said, they prefer the new growth over the old. Treatment:

-1Tb pure neem oil
-1/2 tsp Castile soap (I like peppermint Dr Bronners)
-4 cups water (32oz) or a scant 1 liter

Spray your plants all over until itโ€™s dripping off. Gentle shake to get the drips off and let air dry out of any direct sun.

Spray every 3 days for 6 weeks. If you skip a treatment, the 6 week ticker starts over.

You will need to mix up a fresh batch of neem treatment every time, because neem starts to lose efficacy within 8-12 hours of being mixed with water. This is why store bought products rarely work, as they have always been sitting on the shelf longer than 12 hours after they were mixed.

Itโ€™s a pain, but this will get rid of the thrips.

Or, thereโ€™s always beneficial insects. This is my preferred method these days.
