New plant, new problems

#Jabuticabeira
It normal for all the new growth on a new plant to shrivel and die right? When I got my Brazilian Grape a few weeks ago it had probably about a dozen new growth shoot/branch things...now they have started to drop off...help please!
8” pot with drainage
Last watered 2 years ago
No not at all! Have you checked for pests? Also how often do you water it?
I water him per my Greg schedule which is every 6 days
And there are no pests!
These need water when they need them. It seems like it’s dried up so moisten the soil, spray water on the plant foliage, cover the plant with a plastic bag and set it under a very bright light. Open the bag every other day for about an hour and close it again until the next day to un need to open it. What you are doing is putting it under the humidity it needs to regrow new foliage and keeping it hydrated. It’s the equivalent of a greenhouse environment. Your plant needs to stay hydrated to produce new shoots for now. You can also check the ph of the soil but don’t uproot it. These trees need lots of light and regular watering to prevent desiccation. You may want to look into a water gray you can put pebbles in, then add water to it, and set the pot on top of it for added moisture. Watch the plant’s progress as you go. Be patient and keep a tab on its feeding schedule if you have one.
It now has a grow light and I have it on a hydration tray...I'll try the plastic bag...and I have a defuser so I'll clean it out and fill with plain water and run it if need be! Thanks for the support!
