#HappyPlants #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #PlantAddict #PlantTherapy #GrowLights HELP PLEASE πŸ‘€ I can’t figure out why my violets leaves are starting so tall . I moved it into another spot and thought it wasn’t getting enough light but 2 days back under grow light it’s still standing tall . It looks healthy to me but this has never happened before. Oh how could I forget, I had to treat it due to an outbreak I brought home from super market store . I’ve addressed the obvious though this remains a mystery. Thanks πŸ™πŸ»

@ILoveMyPlants your violet looks absolutely fabulous. Don’t fret over the leaves standing. As this is pretty normal when they are happy with their feeding and light they are getting. πŸ€—πŸ’š
@CourtlyKingfern is the only person I know with African violets. Maybe she can help?
@ILoveMyPlants - Hello Deb πŸ₯°

African violets will make their leaves stand up taller or straight up for a few different reasons! Insufficient lighting, overcrowding, or just because some varieties naturally have a tendency to grow more upright!

If I were you, I’d keep it under the grow light and just continue what you’re doing because it looks very healthy and happy!
Your leaves aren’t discolored and they don’t have marks on them so that’s a great sign 🀩

You should see mine πŸ˜“ The outer leaves must be reaching for the sky because they are straight πŸ†™ πŸ˜†
@JenniferNoel Thanks for the response that’s exactly what I had read and moved it back under the grow light it’s.
I was honestly thinking it may be ready to bloom . Thanks to @TheOddAsity I totally forgot about @CourtlyKingfern and her beautiful violets. Thanks @CourtlyKingfern for easing my mind,I’m super paranoid about all plants after a few days of battling supermarket tag along .
@ILoveMyPlants you are welcome! I have honestly been battling some issues with bugs on mine as well lately, had to quarantine all of the violets away from my other plants. Mealy bugs and their long cycle of getting rid of all of them! Ugh
Keep up the great job!
@CourtlyKingfern Sorry to hear about your plants. A gentle reminder that I shouldn’t let my guard down yet .
@ILoveMyPlants quarantine for 2 weeks and observe daily.. πŸ™ŒπŸ»πŸ€—
