Hi Tommy welcome to Greg! Is your lemon in a nursery pot (the one it came in)? I have a Meyer too and the first year was touch and go (Iβm in Texas too). These trees thrive on minimum of 6-8 hours sun a day, they need consistently moist soil, not soggy tho. The soil is important- it needs to be a sandy/loamy soil thatβs slightly acidic. I used citrus soil from Home Depot and I added coarse sand and perlite. I also add some coffee ground to help with the acidity. If your lemon hasnβt been repotted since you got it, my advice is to repot it asap. If you got it from a store such as Home Depot or Loweβs- the vendors only put their plants in a moss bark type mixture- to hold water and drain. So plants should be repotted with good soil as thatβs wheee they get a lot of their nutrients and also they actually get a drink of water. I think if you do this your lemon will start looking better. Just know repotting stressed plants so it will be a bit sad for a few days, but itβll perk back up. I hope this helpsβΊοΈ
