Why does my vinca vine turn brown on the edges?

Leaves keep shriveling up and #browning. I’ve already #trimmed it twice this summer and it does not look like it’s thriving… plz #help
3ft to light, direct
4” pot with drainage
Last watered 3 years ago
Brown makes me think overwatering. Can you check to see if the dirt is compacted-making the water not be able to drain away as effectively?
Periwinkle likes loamy, sandy soil. It wants to be able to drain well.

Keep in mind, it is a groundcover plant that usually gets lots of bright light. How much light is it getting?
@Marthamaywho92 @sarahsalith Oops just realized I never sent my reply. I checked the soil recently and seems to drain fine, I even removed the top layer of old soil to give it air.

She used to get bright indirect light but I’ve recently put her on my windowsill (SW facing). So now she gets 3+ hours of direct sun. Maybe it is the soil… I’ll look for the sandy loamy type next time I’m at the store
@fabiana It might be the sun. Did these issues start happening once you moved the plant or before?
@sarahsalith I think after. It’s been getting indirect sunlight recently but before it used to sit on my window sill
@sarahsalith I’m here at walmart. Will this soil fo the trick? Also sorry for the late reply! @Marthamaywho92
Upclose. It feels light but consists of peat moss, can’t find any sand or “loamy” soil @sarahsalith @Marthamaywho92
That should do it!
@sarahsalith Ok thanks! I’ll try it out
