Alocasia Help

#Alocasia So when I bought my Monstera I also bought this Alocasia from the same lady. I picked it up Thursday evening, placed it in a west window and then went out of town for 2 days. When I got back the leaves were turning yellow. Compare to the profile picture. This is my 1st Alocasia and thus have no experience. I have not watered her or done anything except place her in the window. Can she be saved? Any advice very much appreciated!! #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #NewPlantMom #GregGang
1ft to light, direct
5” pot with drainage

It's probably just shedding leaves due to a change of location (it looks like bottom lowest leaves yellowing?). The lighting / temperature etc difference between where it came from and your place might be more than you realize. Check how moist it is (or isn't). It should stabilize once it adjusts to your place.
My sarian aswell as most alocasia are super divas! She will most likely shed those older leaves simply due to the slight change of environment, give her lots of grow light or bright indirect sunlight and water when she's pretty dry! They are also gluttens for fertilizer more than most plants imo!
@MelissaF , is this the velvet leaf version? If so, please refrain from giving it bright light. It bleached out the color. They need bright indirect light to maintain their color.
@FitSedum It is not the velvet leaf version. Although we honestly have such low light in Erie, she may need a grow light. Just not sure if I should leave her by the cold west Window or move her a bit farther in from a south window. Just looked in her pot, she looks to be in some sort of soil-moss mixture that is damp, but right in the ceramic pot with no drainage hole. So I will need to repot her regardless. Recommendations?
@MelissaF they need drainage. I use a tropical potting soil and add Leca to it along with a small amount of orchid bark to help aerate. These need the right amount of light to produce chlorophyll. I’d definitely get if a grow light but keep it dim and gradually raise the light output. Full spectrum lighg only.
I’d say it got over watered at the store you purchased it from. I’d return it. Especially since it’s been less than a week since you have had it in your care!

Alocasias tend to drop a few leaves when you bring them home because of the environment change, also drainage is important
Yo much humidity
