What is the best potting soil for a pothos? Particularly ...

Hi I am looking for a reliable potting soil for my propagated white marble pothos. The water is starting to rot the new growth so it is time for soil! I’d love some reliable suggestions :) #PothosWater #PothosPack #PothosNJoy #PlantAddict #NewGrowth soilMix">#soilMix #PothosSnowQueen #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #RepotSeason

A soil mix that is rich and well-draining is best for the marble queen pothos. Mixes designed for aroids or soilless mixes are both great options. However, you can also make your own at home by combining one part potting soil, one part perlite, and one part orchid bark for a light and airy soil mixture that your pothos will love. @Flowergirl2222 Lea hope that helps you out!! πŸ™ŒπŸ»
I totally agree with @CourtlyKingfern! I just mixed soil yesterday for my plants. (It’s been too long since their last repot.)

I made a similar mix: 50% potting mix, 25% perlite, 25% old soil from other plants (because my plant-budget is strained at the moment). The old soil no longer holds water like it should and it has lots of chunky parts in it from the last time I mixed it up. (:
I keep it simple because I have enough going on already. I make up a batch of tropical mix, perlite, orchid mix and for the ones that like to be moist all the time, I will put sphagnum moss in it. Mix it all up and wet it and let it sit for a while before I use it. I guess we are supposed to do that when we use orchid bark and moss.
You’re gonna get varied answers and we all recognize we live in different places so what works for us, might not be great in another zip code.

I use coco coir, coco chips, perlite, and a handful of sand. I rotted like 4 separate propagations of this plant and the chunky mix helped mine out (I’m in Utah).
