How long for pitchers?

So I just got a Nepenthes maxima, rooted from a cutting, last week. She had healthy roots so it's already replanted in a 10cm pot, in sphagnum moss and perlite. I use a grow light.

Question: given she's "young", how long do you think I'll wait until I see any pitchers? Also, is it ok for me to fertilize her for the moment since she doesn't have any?

Hi, Gustavo!

I’m not sure how long you’ll have to wait for pitchers since I’ve never grown nepenthes from cuttings.

As for fertilizing, I don’t think it’s necessary and can cause more harm than good if not done carefully. Nepenthes have sensitive roots that have adapted to life with little to no nutrients. The fertilizers we use (especially synthetic ones) are way to strong and will hurt the plant. I’ve heard that very diluted fertilizers are safe for them, but I’ve never tried it on mine and they grow great, even with tiny/no pitchers. They can survive for quite a while without pitchers/food albeit with slower growth.
From cuttings not too sure, but seedling pitchers have theirs quite early on so i assume quite soon
Refer to California Carnivores. My understanding of carnivorous plants is fertilizing them is a death sentence.
You can fertilize your carniverous plants. But you dont fertilize the media it goes into the pitchers. Most people yse 1/4tsp per gallon of seamax or osmocote time release pellets. You put 1 pelket in each adult size pitcher. If using seamax then put it into a spray bottle and spray 1/2 -1 pump in each adult pitcher. As for when wil you get them. That shoukd start to hapoen right away! Most likely on the next set of leaves it forms. If that new set it has doesnt first .
From what ive seen pretty much all carniverous plants form traps right away. Even seedlings that are miniature still. They need then to griw really
Thank you all. I’m still left wondering how long it will take. It seems to have taken the repot well and is on a grow light. Guess I just wait
