Is my plant sick?
My chocolate covered cherry coleus’ leaves have been turning yellow around the edges with brown splotches and falling off. I was worried the problem was too much sun, so I moved her a bit back from the window. However, this hasn’t solved the issue. Is it a pest problem? She is in a 4.5 inch pot with drainage holes and a well draining soil mix. @JazzyMayten30 I cant remember exactly but I’d say it’s maybe been about a week? Maybe a bit less? It may be humidity now that I think about it though.. before I moved the plant she was decently close to the air conditioning vent in my room. I do open my window when the weather is favorable to try to help with humidity.
@Uzi once the leaves lose the green they won’t come back, even with movement away from sun. A few thoughts… coleus plants like to stay consistently moist. Not waterlogged, just moist. And depending on the cultivar is the amount of sun they can tolerate.
If you have been allowing the soil to get a little dry, I am curious if this is the reason it is struggling? Also, treating the soil for potential fungus wouldn’t hurt. Usually my plants that like to stay moist I try to watch for that just in case. I’m also going to tag @elisenavidad as she might know coleus as well.

@TheOddAsity I think I have underwatered it a bit before so yes I have been more careful with not letting it be completely dry when I water it. Also I gave her water with some cinnamon in it last time I watered so hopefully that would help with an infection. Let me know if you have prior experience/tips with fungal infections because I am a bit new to this 😅
@TheOddAsity I think you were right! I started noticing some gnats around the house and my coleus had fungus gnats. I repotted my plant so hopefully that will help. Thanks!
