I wish my Ponytail Palm was as full and thick like your Ponytail Palm. Itβs so beautiful!
π¦ The brown/yellow leaves is an indication itβs been overwatered. During this time of year (fall-winter) their watering requirements will change. Itβs going dormant, so it will require less water than it did during its growing season (spring-summer). So, decrease its watering frequency.
π§The best way to determine when to water your plant is by using βthe finger soil test,β or inserting your index finger deep into its soil. If the soil feels dry, then itβs time to water your plant. This method will allows the plant to tell you itβs thirsty. π
βοΈIt may not be getting enough light. Theyβre one of the few houseplants that can handle direct sun/full sun. Consider moving it a little closer to the grow light. If itβs not getting enough light, the soil will stay wet too long and that will cause it to become overwatered and have root rot.
πWith a little TLC, your Ponytail Palm will make a speedy recovery, live long and prosper.

Where do you keep it? My ponytail palmβs leaves were turning brown because it wasnβt getting enough light. It likes bright indirect light so I keep mine in a shady spot outside! If you keep it indoors, place it near a window but not directly in sunlight π cut the dead leaves, keep watering it like you do and itβll grow healthy!
@Plantmumvirgin Mine does that when I bring it in from the sunny place on the patio it loves in the summer. I think it is protesting every year, like my spider plants do, with brown leaves. It and the spider plants finally do adjust to being inside but are not happy about it #SpiderPlant #PonytailPalm #OhioGang #Zone6ers

@Ada3 Thank you, Ada.It certainly has been. My husband made a ramp we use to bring it inside and outside twice a year. And mine DOES love direct sun, as much as it can get. Which I donβt have inside. Here it is now, in its winter place #PonytailPalm
