I have these two pups from my aloe are they ready to be repotted ? #HappyPlants #AloeVera #PlantAddict
@smokazrizz You can separate them now but theyβll need a lot of attention to get roots. Personally I let them grow to get a fuller pot of aloe it really doesnβt mind being crowded and thrives on neglect. But if you really want to pluck it place it on top of soil and use an eye dropper daily where roots should form and once you have new roots growing transplant. But whilst youβll wait it will probably take a month or two till you see something on roots. If you let it mature more it will develop its own roots and be easier all around to just plop in soil and go . Itβs more of a preference than anything else. This is mine where I just let them reproduce and fill the pot . This took years to fill out to what it looked like before . Good luck on whatever you decide to do.
@smokazrizz @HumbleRuby26 I wait until the pups have small root systems of their own. When they are ready, make sure that you add at least 50% perlite or pumice to your soil. It looks a bit too moisture retaining for an aloe. You will also have far better luck with a pot thatβs only slightly wider than the root ball diameter. By an inch or two. The pot that the mom is in right now is quite a bit too big for them. But she looks pretty healthy, so good job on the watering! Itβs hard to get right in a too-big pot π
