An SOS for Sonora

Hey #GregGang and #SucculentSquad

My poor lil friend is losing it…literally! I’ve been bottom watering my trio (the last time being only a few days ago), but noticed the soil around Sonora was the driest (like I had never watered it).

My trio shares a pot for sentimental reasons (they are named as a tribute to a relative that recently passed away), so I am open to any ideas that will help Sonora and keep the crew together.

The soil could’ve still been moist down under even though the top looked dry, and perhaps that’s why it’s now acting overwatered? I tend to pay more attention to what the succulent looks like rather than soil, so signs of slight wrinkling will tell you the plant is actually thirsty. Some of my plants don’t want water for 3-4 weeks and that’s fine, they’re built for a little “drought”!

Here’s a picture of a super thirsty plant (I wouldn’t wait that long, but you can see the idea of waiting until the plant says it’s thirsty by wrinkling, looking less full and perky)… anyway, I would give them a break from water for now and see if waiting longer to water them helps
You’re watering too often, that plant is a succulent.
@NewCanadamint I’m aware. I’m only watering every 2-2.5 weeks and always check the soil for dryness before watering. The soil around the other succulents was moist when I checked this morning. Hence my concern.
@itsjordan Thanks for the tips! I’ll wait a little longer until I water her again
