Here is my regrown Persian shield plant. In February, it was eaten down to a nub by a rat. This is one of my favorite plants and needlessly to say I was pretty upset when I saw it. There was actually nothing left except a half an inch and a couple small leaves. I’ve been working for months on this plant in order to get it to come back. It’s doing very well. This is the same plant that was in the blue pot in my oasis. That was prior to the rat, eating it. Now it’s doing great. #HappyPlants #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #PlantAddict #NewGrowth #NewPlantMom #SucculentLove #RarePlants #PropagationStation @AdonicKohleria2 @BabeVila @BuffCaperspurge @DreamMachine @FamedGymealily @HFplantoasis @princesspitstop #OutdoorGrowing @GreatestYuzu9 @MamaLinne

I have always said never underestimate the plants' will to survive & thrive!! Ive brought back more than my share from rhe brink. Usually from cold damage, sometimes unknown. I have had to prune every single lead & sign of life, leaving a sad little stem, much woese looking than Charlie Browns Christmas tree!! None have failed me!!! Some take longer than others but trust me; just like a rescue dog KNOWS hes been rescued, plants KNOW they r loved & cared for & never let u down. I have had 6 plants w/thrips and other than that horrid 6 week memory, thats all that remains of thhose invaders!!! π•Žβ„π”Όβ„π”Ό 𝕋ℍ𝔼ℝ𝔼 π•€π•Š 𝕃𝕀𝔽𝔼, 𝕋ℍ𝔼ℝ𝔼 π•€π•Š ℍ𝕆ℙ𝔼!! π”»π• π•Ÿπ•₯ 𝕖𝕧𝕖𝕣 𝕝𝕠𝕀𝕖 𝕙𝕠𝕑𝕖!!!πŸͺ΄πŸ€πŸ˜ŽβœŒοΈπŸ‘ŒπŸ’• PS: just out of curiosity, how long have u had DaVinci? I only cause i just got one a month or so ago & am thrilled but cant wait til Zeus gets as full as urs!! (& needs an 8" pot!)!!! U cant beat a purple plant!!!! Looks perfect!!! I am totally against product testing on animals so forgive me, but i hope that rat ended up in a cage in a laboratory somewhere!!!!!
It looks absolutely stunning! Congrats on a well fought recovery!
@BuffCaperspurge , Thank you Tacy. Your kind words mean a lot. πŸ˜ŠπŸ‘βœŒοΈβ™₯️
Great to hear it’s doing well after a pesky animal eating on it. I’m so glad that you posted this because a neighbor of mine gave me a piece of one of their plants but they didn’t know what the name of it was and it turns out it’s the exact same thing that you posted so thank you. Much appreciated.!
@ZanyChichipe11 , you are very welcome, Heather. This plan has beautiful purple and dark green metallic looking leaves. I’ve never seen anything like it. After this one was eaten down I bought another one so I have two.
Now *this* is a successful rescue. Very well done. (And now I think I need a Persian Shield, but my overflowing shelves are telling me otherwise πŸ˜†)
@BravePinkpoui , I always tell myself a few more plants never hurtπŸ˜„
My my my beautiful. I regrown some myself and I can’t wait for that popping color
@BuffCaperspurge , I bought da Vinci last summer.
@MamaLinne , thank you
It is completely stunning. Do you have the plant outdoors? Your leaves look so shiny and healthy. I just bought one of these plants and I was wondering if it would do well outside. Thanks
@Shells_Garden , hi Michelle. Yes, the plants are outside. I have two of them.
