Here’s some of my end of summer stuff plus the last plant I can’t identify (Thick hard leaves with serated edges on leaves ) Oh and I thought if one of you ladies I named would be kind enough to put watering hole names up 🙏🏻 I’d love to have a discussion about winterizing and plant lights . I’m sure I’m missing a few things but that’s what makes it a topic to be talked about.

Your plants look fabulous! LOVE the morning glory blossom 💙💜 And your cactus too 🌵, it looks so healthy 💪. The last pic I think is a helleborus species, possibly Christmas Rose or Lenten Rose?

@ILoveMyPlants What about winterizing and lights you want to talk about need some where to start. All my babies are indoors so winterizing I don’t have to do. I have grow lights over 90% of my plants
@ILoveMyPlants Your yard is looking beautiful, Deb! What plants are you planning to winterize and use lights on?
Also your zone / area makes a big difference when it comes to winterizing. There’s a big enough difference in between Pennsylvania and the Crystal coast North Carolina. I wouldn’t want to suggest anything that I would do here other than mulch up thick. Bring indoors even if only in a garage.

@FitBrowallia @debbiedo @OhGollyItsJolly Thanks I guess I’m just looking for some insight and inspiration to get going . I had grow lights the past three years and wondered if some should just be left alone 🤷♀️ No pun intended but why do we use grow lights at all ? Do you guys use fans too ? Any info on what and when to start would be appreciated. @OhGollyItsJolly I thought my tree was a Chinese Maple but it’s not some fancy name. But I do love it
@ILoveMyPlants As far as my plants go, I’ve got to figure out how to overwinter my pitcher plant since it’s the only one outside. I might need to invest in another plant stand of some sort since I have 2 pothos and my Philodenron Birken in the windowsill, The Birken is already to too big to fit. I made room for my Albo pothos on an existing plant stand by doing some re-arranging. I am thinking of purchasing one of the standing Sansi grow lights so I can get better coverage and perhaps free up one of my clip on sets for another location. I’m working on finishing up repotting and chopping and propping ,etc.
@ILoveMyPlants I don’t put any of my houseplants outside, so I can’t offer any insight there. I try to take full advantage of natural light as much as possible, and I’ve added some grow lights where I needed a little extra help. I don’t use any additional fans, but we do keep our furnace system fan running to keep air moving in the house 👍🏻
