Potted up all my late winter cuttings so that they’ll be well-established in time for the craft sale in July! ☀️
After giving a few to my students, there should be about 75 left to sell 🪴 My first try at “mass” propagation (kind of a small “mass” 😂)
I’m not sure I’ll do it again, but it has been pretty fun.
I was thinking of throwing pots to sell them in, but 75 sounds like way too many to me 😳
So I’m thinking about sewing some bags or something quicker to put them in. Any ideas??

Well there are a lot of propagations to sell and I wish you all the luck.
As a marketing student I think a hand made pot can add value to what your selling. However you need to think on who you want to sell it to and if you want to built a customer base.
Let’s suppose you want some more naturalistic people to be your clientele, then it’s a great idea, now if you are targeting costumers more picky about colours that have a tendency to prefer more neutral colours (or not) maybe it is just going to waste. Also if you are selling them this time and you are not thinking about this becoming a full time job, then definitely don’t go through the trouble, you do not need to think about a costumer base.

I wish I lived close so I could snatch some up! I’d say leave them in the prop cups- most people will replant anyway - and like @FamedGymealily suggested, sell some pots on the side for people who want one! For my single nicer plants I sell on marketplace, I’ll often offer a pot with it to increase its value, but with a mass sale, I’d say the plastic pots are perfectly acceptable!
@debbiedo I’d say sell from prop cups to keep cost down and the cost of your time down too. Perhaps offer some of your handmade pots for sale. Then the customers can get a great deal on prop cup plants & hopefully take more than one ☝️. And for those without proper pots at home you can offer one stop shopping 🛒😊
