I had a horrible night of no sleep, well 33 minutes! Anyway I have about 14 plants that need some attention/water. And since I was awake I got up to check on them. And you won’t believe what happened! I have this Philodendron Tortum which had lost all its leaves and I was ready to give upon it, but didn’t. Imagine my surprise when after a few waterings I saw a little green poking out of the top. Anyway so I looked at said philodendron and there was something blackish, and elongated on one of the tiny leaves. I, wondering what it could possibly be. (and not fully awake yet) nudged it a little, and it jumped up (scared the living daylights out of me) I wasn’t expecting anything to jump out, no matter how small. Turns out it was a baby lizard, who knew. And how did it get here?? Unfortunately because it jumped up, it had a rather awkward landing that didn’t go well. Since it landed on a yellow sticky trap. And there’s no way I can remove it from there without killing it. Sad to say, that it’s days are numbered. On a lighter note, The cacti I was expecting arrived last Friday . I managed to pot them up right away but then was too lazy to post them. So here they are. Nothing out of ordinary. They don’t really get interesting until they start blooming and I’m guessing that it won’t happen until next spring!
Well that’s all for today from my oasis, hope I didn’t depress anyone too much with the sad lizard 🦎 story. (i still can’t figure out how he/she found his/her way all the way up on to the philodendron?) I hope

@RefinedSandwort I order from a few different vendors on Etsy. I base it purely on what they have to offer, price and preferably free shipping 😉! But that’s not always possible. Then there’s Kesslers cactus https://kesslerscactus.com/?srsltid=AfmBOorovAPUlutOPMkG0B2d0ANsLB-zK4emxy-8uVexDiQlCCMdsRYs They have a pretty good selection, and their cactus soil is fantastic, I have been using it on all the Cacti that needed repotting, and of course the ones that usually arrive without pots or soil.
@debbiedo @DreamMachine @malobee Thank you all for your concern and support and help regarding the stuck lizard 🦎. But really have you seen how tinie tiny that guy is? I would squish him if I were to try to pick him up! And the only thing that’s not entirely stuck is the end of its tail and if I were to hold onto it, it would surely come off in my hand. Maybe It should just remain on the sticky trap as a further deterrent for the gnats?!
