#HoyaHangout #Hoya #PlantsMakePeopleHappy wondering what folks do when their Hoyas get to this point. The roots still look good I have wrapped these around the trellis about four or five times.

@Just1More I’ve only had Hoyas for a year, so I’m not there yet, but I would add another trellis! Have you seen videos of Doug Chamberlain’s Hoyas? (You can search for Vermont Hoyas website or YT channel) On a lot of them he’ll cross a trellis over the top perpendicularly, then you have fresh real estate for wrapping and clipping. 😄
Good morning @Just1More ☀️. Gorgeous girl you’ve got there!😍 My Krimson Queen and Princess I’ve let trail. Actually most of mine trail except the pubicalyx and australis which I’ve wrapped around trellises several times and still have space to keep going round on both. I imagine as I run out of trellis room that I’ll add another as @DreamMachine mentioned or I’ll start to trim. What size was she when you got her and how long have you had her? She’s stunning! I have kerrii and callistophylla on trellises too but completely different types than the others.

@Just1More What a great problem to have! I only have two Hoyas that compare at the moment. I also just keep on wrapping my Krimson Princess. And my Pubicalyx is At the top and ready to work its way back down my climbing wall. I’m going to go make a second cup of ☕️ and check out the videos Nadia @DreamMachine recommended ☺️

@MariansOasis I would love to let it trail, but it does the whole stem without leaves thing if I do, and once I clip it to a trellis, the leaves come out. I was thinking I got it about two years ago but the first picture that I have on here already has it on a trellis and I know I didn’t do that for at least six months, maybe the winter of 2023/4? I suspect my plants grow faster because I put them out in the summer on our screened in porch which they love. It’s very helpful to see so many of you do what I’m doing, looping it back around. At some point, I should probably do some propagations too.
@debbiedo I used some wire like this and looped twine around it to make it a little bit nicer and made a heart trellis for my Kerri Hoya.
@debbiedo YES! I made my first rabbit fencing one into a tube, and then I nearly lost my mind trying to repot my crassipetiolata, it was SO hard 😆 THEN when I try to add clips 🤪 Because I have the clips that have a spot for attaching to the wire (so the hoya vine is loose in the actual “claw” part and not getting pinched, I don’t know if that makes sense—if it doesn’t I’ll attach a picture) I like to attach them on the inner part of the wire, and my hands can’t fit through the 2x3 grid 🤣
