I honestly have no idea what this plant isβ¦it MIGHT have started as a peperomia axillaris but it is unrecognizable now! Thatβs okay! @Amateurbotany Those Peperomia sometimes just flip out and do their own thing....usually it's not a textbook looking thing! π As long as it still gives you joy, that's all that matters.
I have a Chrisrmas taco Peperomia doing all sorts of things to use my buttons, but I just keep trying.π Recently, I just chopped a whole bunch off to try to promote shock or whatever will help it to change patterns. It is not as red & green as a "well behaved" version should be. As it got so unruly, I couldn't stand it anymore, so chop-chop. One went where it gets puhlenty of sun. The other is on a table where there are grow lights not pointing at it. We'll see what happens. It's a mess. I like showing our imperfect π sometimes. Without a greenhouse, we just do the best we can. π
