These are the first new leaves Crichton has given me. A lot of my babies have been gettin’ busy, but when it’s their first… I don’t know. There’s just something special about it, especially if I don’t miss it happening, like I did with my Black Cherry Pink Princess cuttings—they both had new leaves emerge and I missed the unfurling. 😑🤦🏼♀️
Anyhow, maybe between this guy and Freya, who’s putting out a new one, too, I’ll have something super neat to brag on for #FreshLeafFriday this week!
Isn’t the one just like a butterfly breaking out of its cocoon, though? So fascinating to watch…

It is fascinating to see a new leaf unfurling, and it is rewarding too. You can take several photos every, say, 10 hours, if you wish, and compare them later.
