Hey I just got this aloe plant from the library a couple days ago, and it isn’t doing to good. What’s going on with her? How can I get her back to health? #HappyPlants #NewPlants #AloeVera #help

@SolidCowbane22 that’s what i would say! make sure you have a succulent mix soil and drainage holes at the bottom of your pot! also make sure it’s getting lots of sun as it’s a desert succulent!
Repot with a chunky, well draining soil. I would use a terracotta pot, they absorb the excess moisture which helps if you overwater and let soil completely dry out before watering again, and even then you can go a little longer without watering, they don’t get mad if you skip a watering. They love direct sunlight
@SillyPlantGirl yes, you should use cactus/succulent soil. Make sure it is getting atleast 6hr sunlight and that the pot has drainage, you don't want root rot 😅. Also water about every 3 to 4 days of watering since it is just a baby. Once it gets a bit bigger start watering it about once or twice a week. Then you have your aloe!
That is looking pretty sad. Aloe is a succulent, and you more or less want to treat it like a cactus… it needs infrequent watering, and that wet soil is rotting the crap out of it. Put a fan on it and try to dry out the soil (you may want to dump the whole thing out onto a repotting mat or baking sheet to help speed the fan drying along), ensure that cup has a drainage hole, and do not put any sort of cover on it. It may be past the point of no return, but you never know unless you try. I would focus on drying it out in that current cup instead of investing $ in potting it because it’s really unclear if it’s going to survive at this time.
