Good job! My first was a croton too, but it in-alived itself very promptly after I bought it. 😁 about a hundred plants later I still haven’t bought another croton πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
@elisenavidad These three! I got them in March and now I have too many plants to count!
@PleaseLeaf oooo these are beauts 🀩 Isn’t it funny how that works?? I never saw myself being this type of plant person simply from a croton πŸ˜‚
@elisenavidad I had a couple succulents before I got them and Greg but they were struggling until I ended up here! I'm not surprised I'm a plant person I'm just surprised by the plants I like! I always thought succulents and cacti were cool but they're not really fun to take care of like my tropical and carnivorous plants! I love needy plants πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
Soo cool! Mine was a jade photos but now I’m obsessed with all the plants πŸ˜„
@PleaseLeaf bahahaha β€œthey are not really fun to take care of” 🀣🀣 Dude I couldn’t agree more bahahaha

The tropical plants and aroids are where it’s at πŸ™ŒπŸΌπŸ˜
@MsNegrita this. Is. STUNNING dude!!!! & shoot there’s nothing quite like a pothos to get your plant thing going! They grow so fast!
β™₯️ Gobiiiiii!!!! I love that this was your first plant! The one that started it all! We all have that ONE plant and I love it! How long have you owned Gobi?
This was my first plant that got me obsessed! I got her in June of 2017 as a gift for starting a new job! πŸ€— The first picture was taken in February of 2018. The second picture was taken on June 27th, 2024. I have probably cut the plant back at least a dozen times, propagated new plants, gave some away, and kept some in my home. Gotta love a plant that keeps on giving!
😍😍😍😍😍😍
@theloveofplants since February! It was a trio of plants but I killed the other two LOL
@theloveofplants ahhh the gift that keeps on giving I love that! What a journey you’ve had, how awesome 🀩
@PoisedAlbo I’m surprised it wasn’t a Philo 🀣

For real tho that’s a journey youve had w that plant, how impressive!

That’s really a beaut 🀩
@ChirpyBelleblue thank y!!
@SweetHoyabella thank you, it’s been one of my weirdly easiest plants! I can’t complain. I say you give it another go πŸ™ŒπŸΌπŸ˜‰
@elisenavidad - Yes, the gift that keeps on giving indeed! I love it so much! You are doing at great job at keeping that plant thrive!
@elisenavidad Hey, that is okay that the other two plants didn’t make it. We have to learn about plant care and sometimes the learning happens even when we lose a plant.
@PoisedAlbo plz share 🀩
@theloveofplants you are so right! I love your perspective, thank you 🫢🏻
@elisenavidad You are very welcome! πŸ€— Everything happens for a reason and we usually learn something valuable from it! πŸ’œ
My first plant was my now 30 year old Variegated Spider Plant... So easy to look after (& I've still managed to almost unalive her a couple of times! Lmao 🀣).

She's actually much smaller than she was, but it's more beautiful than ever, throwing half moons all over the place (& just LOVING my Sansi light!).

The one that really started the obsession though was Monsty Major! πŸ’šπŸ’š My emotional support plant lol 🀣 she's was a small cutting given to me by my wonderful pal Dottie, who passed away a few months ago. She was just a couple of battered leaves and a VERY twisted stem, but she now stands about 4ft tall and has just given me THIS gorgeous leaf that I cannot stop looking at! It's so nearly unfurled! (Even more special because she did it immediately after repotting and in the midst of my first battle with thrips! Lol πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈπŸ€£). I separated her pup when I repotted and Monsty Mini has just thrown a new leaf too! She must have good strong genes from her mum! Lol πŸ’šπŸ’š and that's how I became a #monsteraaddict 🀣🀣🀣 xx
@JenniB81 oooo you cannot go wrong with a snake plant!!

& ohhh the Monsteras… I get it.. the one & only …
Yours definately has your strong friends genes, because that guy has really taken off!
@JenniB81 #monsteraaddict I am!

That leaf is really beautiful too! & oh no.. not those damn thrips! I’m working against those bastards right now as well! So frustrating! I can’t wait to see more of your monsty!
